During normal production, the 16.5MVA submerged arc furnace is discharged every two hours, and the discharge time is generally 15 to 20 minutes. Before each discharge, the lining of the ladle must be checked, whether the iron and slag tapping equipment are in good condition, and the slag tank Whether it is smooth and whether the bag mouth is blocked.
After taking over, prepare suitable eye-blocking rakes, shovels, iron rods, and mud balls.
When opening the furnace hole of the submerged arc furnace, first boil the water to quench the slag water. The water pressure is greater than 0.25MPa before opening the hole. However, when the water pressure is around 0.2MPa, the tapping cap should be used to control the tapping slag and iron flow to protect the safe water quenching of the slag.
Menggui alloy ladles are built with clay bricks. New ladles must be dried, passed through liquid slag, and then passed through molten iron before they can be used. The taphole is generally opened with an iron rod, and a submersible furnace using an eye opening and plugging machine is used. When opening the tap hole, the operating procedures of the eye opening and plugging machine are strictly followed. Under special circumstances, a burn through device or oxygen boiling is used.
After the iron tapping of the submerged arc furnace is completed, water quenching in front of the furnace is carried out, slag removal, pouring, slag pushing and sampling are carried out. During water quenching, the card replacement system is implemented when water is needed.
When separating slag, there must be a special person to direct it. When slag is seen in the later stage, stop separating slag to prevent molten iron from running into the separation groove.
When removing slag, a two-step process is carried out. First, the light slag is put into a tank. After the iron is found, it is transferred to the rich slag tank and the rich slag is returned to the furnace.
When pushing slag, push away the iron ore hot furnace surface scum and high carbon layer in the ingot mold to ensure the alloy quality.
When sampling, take the middle position of the middle ingot mold. First of all, make sure the sample spoon is clean, take the sample quickly, do not spoil the sample spoon, and do not contain slag in the iron sample.
Before buckling the iron, clean the scum around the edge of the ingot mold. After the alloy is demoulded, white mortar is poured into the mold to prepare it for use in the furnace.
The alloy produced by the submerged arc furnace will be finished and put into storage the next day by this class.
The taphole of the submerged arc furnace should be blocked deeply and firmly, with a margin of 600~650mm in the early stage and 400mm in the mid-term, keeping the taphole large on the outside and small on the inside. Make mud balls and change the ratio according to the conditions of the taphole. Use refractory mud and coke powder for the new hole, and use 70% white clay mud and 30% crushed electrode paste for the middle and later stages of the submerged arc furnace hole.
