Metal silicon smelting furnace, i.e. metallic silicon intermediate frequency smelting furnace: induction heating of high-purity graphite crucible by magnetic field to 1650-1750 ℃, heating and melting of metallic silicon by high-purity graphite crucible as heating body.

Composition of metal silicon intermediate frequency smelting furnace: one intermediate frequency furnace rectifier transformer, one intermediate frequency power supply, two steel shell with magnetic conduction furnace body (or aluminum shell furnace body), two high-purity graphite crucibles, one set of capacitance compensation device, one set of hydraulic device (one double-pump hydraulic system, four hydraulic tilting furnace oil cylinders) (or reducer furnace), one tilting furnace operation platform, water distributor, power supply and capacitance water cooling device, etc.

Intermediate Frequency Furnace Melting Process

The intermediate frequency electric furnace uses the intermediate frequency power supply to establish the intermediate frequency magnetic field, so as to generate induced eddy current and heat inside the ferromagnetic material, so as to heat the material.

The medium-frequency electric furnace adopts 200-2500Hz medium-frequency power supply for induction heating, smelting and heat preservation. The medium-frequency electric furnace is mainly used for smelting carbon steel, alloy steel, special steel and nonferrous metals such as copper, aluminum and metallic silicon.

The equipment is small in size, light in weight, high in efficiency, low in power consumption, fast in melting and temperature rise, easy to control the furnace temperature and high in production efficiency.

Medium-frequency furnace smelting has different acid and basic furnace linings, and different smelting methods of oxidation method and non-oxidation method, depending on different steel types, adopt different smelting methods.

The acid induction furnace cannot be used to smelt high manganese steel, nor is it suitable to smelt aluminium-bearing and titanium-bearing steel. Not applicable to oxidation process steel making.

Melting process flow of intermediate frequency furnace alkaline crucible melting method: selection of furnace charge → selection of metal material → selection of alloy material → batching and loading → inspection before furnace → component control → electrified melting → addition of surplus material and tamping material → slagging sampling → composition adjustment and temperature measurement → final deoxidation, tapping and pouring → demolding and cooling.

7. Anti-seismic (Richter 7 standard) structural design is adopted for the furnace body, and special structure magnetic yoke and special-shaped coil conductor are provided to realize safe and efficient operation of the furnace body.

8. Built-in fault detection monitor: various sensors collect equipment operation data at all times, give an alarm in case of abnormal conditions and cut off the power supply for operation, the HMI will automatically pop up the fault content and guide the maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair.
