The mechanical equipment of ladle refining furnace mainly consists of ladle, refining ladle car, furnace cover, furnace cover lifting mechanism, electrode lifting system, alloy feeding system, hydraulic system, cooling water system, compressed air system, argon system, etc.
Among them, ladle and ladle car are it's key main structures, which will be introduced separately below.
The ladle for refining furnace is different from the general pouring ladle. It is not only a container for receiving and transporting molten steel, but also a refining furnace body. The ladle consists of ladle body, sliding nozzle mechanism, actuator hydraulic cylinder and equipment manual mechanism, bottom blowing argon device.
The longer the molten steel stays in the ladle, the higher the temperature, and the greater the heat load of the ladle lining during arc heating, the molten steel is stirred violently during argon blowing, and the molten steel will splash at the same time. Therefore, the insulation, life, and refractory index of the ladle lining are required to be high. The thickness of the refractory material of the ladle wall is 150-260mm, and the thickness of the refractory material of the steel bottom is more than 300 mm.
The ladle is designed as a conical barrel, the ladle is equipped with a sliding nozzle, and the actuator is a hydraulic cylinder, which is placed horizontally.
The sliding nozzle is equipped with argon-blowing drainage protection and also has the function of argon-blowing stirring.
The argon-blowing nozzle avoids the heating point of the electrode and is set at a radius of about 0.618 (golden section) at the bottom of the ladle. Argon is blown into the pool through the air brick to stir the molten steel. The stirring is sufficient and uniform, and the air brick is easy to replace.
The sliding nozzle actuator is a hydraulic cylinder, which is placed horizontally and equipped with a manual machine. This part of the equipment and hydraulic source are provided by the user.
The ladle car is a transportation tool that allows the ladle to reach each workstation.
The car body is a high-quality steel plate welded structure, and the transmission mode is mechanical transmission, that is, it is composed of motor + reducer + coupling + wheel. There is a track cleaning device on the car body. There are stoppers at both ends of the track and a buffer device at one end of the ladle car.
In the event of an accident, the ladle car can be towed out through the hook on the car body. The car body is equipped with sound and light alarms and a protective plate.
