In the production process of the refining furnace, an important production link is desulfurization, and to ensure the desulfurization effect, the whole process needs to be carried out at high temperature.
The increase and maintenance of the inlet temperature needs to be achieved through continuous heating. The higher the inlet temperature, the less power the refining furnace actually consumes.
On the contrary, if the incoming molten steel is at a relatively low temperature, it will take a longer heating time, which will also lead to a significant increase in power consumption.
During the normal operation of the refining furnace, the temperature of the incoming molten steel is mainly affected by two aspects:
1) One is the tapping temperature of the electric furnace,
2) The other is the waiting time of the ladle. The higher the tapping temperature and the shorter the waiting time of the ladle, the lower the power consumption in the refining process. Increasing the inlet temperature of the molten steel, lowering the outlet temperature, and shortening the waiting time are necessary ways to improve energy saving.
