Manganese Silicon Alloy Furnace (Arc Furnace) Baking Furnace

After the lining of the silicon manganese alloy furnace is built, the first step is to bake the furnace, which is also an important step that affects the service life and quality of the entire furnace.

(1) Prepare wood and large pieces of coke. Clean the furnace, lay a layer of clay bricks under the three-phase electrode, put the long electrode, lower the electrode to the bottom of the furnace, loosen the copper tile, lift the holder to the upper line position and hold it tightly, the baking length is greater than 2500mm, and 5 to 6 small holes are pierced in the electrode baking part with a spacing of 200mm. After lowering the electrode, add electrode paste to the shell to ensure that the electrode paste column is 3500mm high.

(2) Build flower walls and bake the electrode. A circle of flower wall is built around the three-phase electrode with clay bricks. The distance between the ore-heating furnace and the electrode silicon manganese alloy furnace surface in the flower wall is 350mm. The height of the flower wall is preferably 350mm between the upper edge of the flower wall and the lower edge of the copper tile. The bottom of the flower wall is filled with ignition firewood and a small amount of waste oil. A large piece of coke is added on the upper part to ignite. Bake for 35 to 48 hours depending on the diameter of the electrode. After the electrode is baked, the flower wall should be quickly removed and the clay bricks of the flower wall should be removed as much as possible.

(3) Do not loosen the copper tile when baking the electrode, but turn off the copper tile water. After baking, turn the electrode upside down, and the copper tile should clamp the baked electrode for more than 200mm.

(4) The power supply system of the silicon manganese alloy furnace must be submitted to the operator before power is supplied.

(5) When supplying power, the arc can be started with a voltage 1 to 2 levels higher than the normal voltage. After 1 hour, the normal voltage level is changed to the furnace. The working voltage for charging should not exceed half of the full load. There should be an interval in the early stage of the electric furnace (one-third of the rated electric furnace is off), and the interval time should not exceed 20 minutes. In the later stage, power is supplied continuously, from the electric furnace to the first furnace to the second furnace, and the material pipes are sealed before the second furnace is discharged. The power consumption and the number of batches of charging in each working area.

(6) Furnace operation after monthly planned maintenance: After a minor repair, the electric furnace must be powered on immediately to restore the furnace condition to normal. Before power supply, the requirements are the same as when the silicon manganese alloy furnace is opened after a major or medium repair, and the electromechanical equipment must be checked. When power is supplied, it must be operated according to normal rules. After power supply, the load is slowly supplied, generally one-third to one-half of the power outage time is full load. Before power supply, the gas purification group must be contacted before power supply.
