12MVA FeSi submerged arc furnace is a semi-enclosed submerged arc furnaces used for reducing ore. It is mainly used to produce important products in the metallurgical industry such as ferrosilicon, ferromanganese, ferrochrome, ferrotungsten, silicon-manganese alloy, etc. This submerged arc furnace has a capacity of 12MVA and is medium-sized.
The operating criteria of ferrosilicon furnace involve many aspects to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and extend service life. Let us understand the specific criteria together.
Pre-startup inspection: Confirm that the cooling system, electrical system, hydraulic system, etc. are normal, the furnace lining is intact, and there is no debris.
Startup procedure: Start the cooling system, hydraulic system and electrical system in sequence, and gradually heat up to the operating temperature.
Shutdown procedure: gradually cool down, turn off the electrical system, and finally stop the cooling system.
Working temperature: The temperature of the submerged arc furnaces needs to be controlled between 1200°C and 1600°C, avoiding too high or too low.
Temperature monitoring: real-time monitoring of furnace temperature and timely adjustment.
Raw material quality: use ferrosilicon raw materials that meet the standards to avoid impurities.
Feeding control: uniform feeding to prevent uneven reaction in the ferrosilicon furnace.
Voltage & current: keep within the rated range to avoid overload or underload of the submerged arc electric furnace.
Electrode management: regular inspection of electrode length and position to ensure normal operation.
Water pressure & water temperature: keep the water pressure at 0.20.4MPa and the water temperature not exceeding 35°C.

Protective equipment: operators need to wear protective clothing, gloves, masks, etc.
Emergency plan: formulate and familiarize yourself with the emergency plan and conduct regular drills.
Regular inspection: including the lining, electrodes, cooling system, etc. of the submerged arc electric furnace.

Waste gas treatment: Ensure that the waste gas treatment system operates normally and meets the emission standards.
Waste slag treatment: Treat waste slag according to regulations to avoid environmental pollution.
Operation training: Regularly train operators to ensure that they are familiar with the operation and safety procedures of the ferrosilicon furnace.
Assessment system: Establish an assessment system to ensure that personnel have the necessary skills.
Operation records: Detailed records of operating parameters, abnormal conditions and treatment measures.
Regular reports: Regularly report the operation of the ferrosilicon furnace to superiors and make suggestions for improvement.
