Smelting temperature
The maximum temperature of the submerged arc furnaces smelting process can reach 1300℃, which mainly depends on the solubility and melting point of the compound to be smelted.
Timing & amount of feeding
During the smelting process, the timing and amount of feeding should be considered. The timing of feeding depends on the oxide content of the substance generated by electrolysis and the change of the capacity of the SAF. Smelting time
The time of the SAF smelting process should be controlled to ensure the quality of the smelted product. Generally speaking, the smelting time of the mixture is about 2-4 hours.
Control of smelting temperature
During the smelting process, the change of temperature has a very important influence on the quality of the smelted product. Sometimes it is lower than the lowest temperature of the furnace, and sometimes it is higher than the highest temperature of the furnace. It is necessary to control the content of oxides and the volatilization of water. The temperature control should be flexible and direct heating and cooling should be controlled.
Submerged Arc Melting Furnace Smelting Process Flow
Raw material heating: Put the mixture to be smelted into the submerged arc furnace, and arrange air to be sent into the electric furnace to heat the mixture until its internal temperature is low.
Electrolytic ionization: Convert the mixture into tantalum compounds, ionize them through electrolysis, and extract the minerals from the tantalum compounds to achieve the smelting purpose.
