The submerged arc furnace water-cooled compensator is a pipe device composed of inner and outer tubes, water tubes, elongation indicators and fixed supports.
It is mainly used to connect the secondary outlet copper tube of the electric furnace transformer with the short network copper tube, which can compensate the installation error, thermal expansion and cold contraction and absorb the vibration caused by the electromagnetic force of the short network.
This equipment is not only suitable for electric arc furnaces, but also for submerged arc furnaces.
Equipment Composition
Conductive sectional area: 300-3200mm2
Connection mode at both ends: nut taper sleeve and connecting sleeve
Natural compensation is to absorb the thermal deformation of the pipeline by using the elasticity of the natural bending of the pipeline itself.
Pipeline elasticity refers to the ability of the pipeline to recover to the original state after the elastic deformation occurs under the effect of stress, the geometry changes and the stress disappears. Practice has proved that when the bend angle is greater than 30 °, it can be used as natural compensation.
When the bend angle is less than 30 °, it cannot be used as natural compensation. The length of natural compensation pipeline is generally 15~25m, and the bending stressbw shall not exceed 80MPa.
If natural compensation cannot be met, a compensator shall be added on the pipeline to compensate for the thermal deformation of the pipeline.
The compensator is a component installed on the pipe to absorb thermal expansion and cold contraction and other displacement of the pipe. Common compensators include square compensator, bellows compensator, sleeve compensator and spherical compensator.
The water-cooled compensator plays an important role in the actual application of arc furnace and submerged arc furnace. Through its effective compensation function, the stable operation of the pipeline under high temperature and high pressure can be ensured, and the pipeline failure and maintenance cost caused by temperature change can be reduced.
At the same time, the water-cooled compensator can reduce the vibration noise of the pipeline and improve the working environment.
